£480.00
An as found group 'dans son jus' that is all attributed to 170180 Gunner Alfred Edward Jacob who served with the Royal Field Artillery specifically 59th Divisional Ammunition Column from 1917 to 1919. The group consists of his soft cap with flannel band and American Cloth lining with WD stamp indicating it was inspected at the Pimlico Clothing factory. The chinstrap has been braided a Tommy 'fashion fad' of the late Great War period. There is his personal wallet with loop for a pencil and well marked with his address and service details. The address ties in with that on his service papers. His clasp knife made by Keen Kutter a US Company this example is the 1917 pattern that omitted the marlin spike. His tobacco tin that contained a red rosette the meaning of which has escaped my research. Finally his Victory Medal correctly impressed with his number, rank name and RA. This has the British War Medal Ribbon attached as it came. The BWM was missing when I acquired the group. He was entitled to the pair only. The whole group is service used, the cap being soiled and dusty the wallet missing its button. Groups like this are becoming scarce most being broken up over time.
