A superb time capsule of items all pertaining to S/308846 Private EJ Baldry ASC Supply (originally ASC Transport transferred in July 1918) and contained in his Other Services 1917 dated haversack. Items include two pairs of identity discs, his spurs, his 1918 First Field Dressing, his leather personal grooming kit marked EJ B to the flap, sewing kit, parts II & III of ASC Training these full of information and illustrations part III still has its 4 grasses and seeds plates almost always missing, His issue note book well filled in with supply and rationing information, blank active service envelopes and field service message cards. Hi WW2 AB 64. He re enlisted in WW2 and served at home from 1940 to 1944 so in addition to his British War and Victory Medals ( not present) he would have been entitled to the WW2 Defence and War Medals. A large group photo in which I am sure he appears but is unidentified. The haversack has had its internal divider removed but otherwise in good service used condition. This group is as I bought it with nothing added to 'embellish' it.
