Identity Disc to 9227 Private (Bandsman) A C V McFarlane 2nd KSLI

A 1907 aluminium identity disc that belonged to 9227 Private, Bandsman on his Medal Index Card, Albert Charles Victor McFarlane 2nd Battalion Kings Shropshire Light Infantry. He arrived in France on the 21st December 1914. He was Mentioned in Dispatches in the London Gazette of 6th December 1916 a Salonika award post the 2nd Battalions arrival in December 1915. The disc has been adapted to a wrist bracelet I assume after the introduction of the red fibre disc in 1914. Note the initial on the disc is incorrect but it is Alberts disc only one McFalane served with the KSLI under number 9227.
